What people are saying...

"One of the things I like most about Margie's classes is her enthusiasm. She not only prepares the class thoroughly --but is flexible to adapt to her students needs and the circumstances-- but she gets so excited when we "get it!" when WE discover the movement that will lead us where we need to go".

" I'm in Margie's class and she asks us to do a movement ... I try ... I can't ... I let her know .... she gently corrects me "it's not that you can't, it's that you're not able to do it ... YET". I'm skeptical, but continue my lesson, and suddenly: YES! I GOT IT! I DID IT!  I know now I CAN do it ... but I don't quite believe it until it happens. IT IS UNBELIEVABLE when it does!"

"I am able to get up off the floor gracefully and easily - better than I have in years!"

"Wow!  I got very flexible and it felt effortless to roll and get up off the floor.  I hesitated to roll because I had not done it in years!"

Emma Smith

"My right side of my back felt very contracted compared to the left at the start of the lesson.  At the end of class my back felt more even and relaxed."

"My hip flexors and lower back were sore.  At the end of class my pain level was reduced, I was more flexible, and more knowledgeable about how things work together."

Jane Peterson

" I was amazed at how much my ankles/feet related to the arthritis in my back. After the workshop I stood and walked more easily and was more flexible.  I was able to walk down steps without pain."

Nikki Goldman

"I now can walk with ease and no pain. My left foot was turned out to the left, and after a two hour workshop, not only is my foot straight I am moving freely and relaxed thorough out my body.  This class was $30 and what I got out of it was priceless!  Thank you for the amazing work that you do!"

Connie Burke

"I came to class feeling very disconnected and tense throughout my body. Now I am moving freely and feel so much lighter and integrated."

"I had limited movement of my hip. I learned how to do the movements and now I feel so much freedom."  Thank you, Margie, you are the cat's pajamas!

Lessons In Motion

NeuroMovement Workshops

Are you experiencing mobility issues due to back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee/hip pain, joint pain, or pain due to injury?   In these workshops you will experience gentle, safe, pleasurable movement explorations that help you reduce pain, move with ease and comfort, and have greater mobility.

NeuroMovement lessons are different from traditional exercises and are also great for any fitness level.  Rather than engage in repetitive movements that are often done forcefully and even mindlessly, with these lessons you will be asked to move gently and slowly and pay attention to what you feel.

You will be paying attention to your whole body, not just the painful areas.  You will quickly become aware of what you are doing and will discover ways to move that are easier and are pain-free. You will be amazed at how quickly you will feel better and how your posture, breathing and all movement will improve.

Each workshop consists of different lessons that address the whole self, therefore these workshops are beneficial for anyone with pain, and for people who want to learn to move better to improve fitness, daily activities, or athletic performance.
